Chapter one · At the table

Sector 17 · Dwarka

A courtyard built
for company

Shared tables under a green steel pergola in Sector 17. Lunch that runs long, dinner that turns into an evening, and a kitchen wide enough that nobody at the table has to compromise.

The dishes are the marketing. Ingredients first, no origin stories.

Three kitchens work the same courtyard — North Indian, Continental and Asian — so a table of six can order six different things and still eat together. Plates arrive for the middle, not for one person at a time.

Cost for two runs to about INR 1,000. The pergola keeps the sun off the courtyard through the afternoon and the air moving through the evening.
